VOIP means Voice Over Internet Protocol. As its name indicates, in this we transfer the voice over internet with the help of TCP/IP protocol. TCP/IP stands for Tranmission control protocol/ Internet Protocol. It is a connectionless protocol. TCP/IP network have some IP packets with a header part and an information part. The header is for communication control & information part is used for transporting data. In VOIP voice is digitized into data packets, transferred through the network and when the packets arrive at destination, they converted back to voice.
